Provide students with a modern education in biology which includes the development of professional knowledge in biology, professional and generic skills and ethical standards in scientific practice so that they are likely to be responsible for the research and technology transfer in the field of biological sciences and to meet the increasing demand for highly qualified personnel of the national, regional and international communities.
Specific objectives
Graduates from the B.S. program in Biology have the abilities to:
- Apply basic knowledge of mathematics, natural sciences, basic social sciences, fundamental biology and biological techniques to explore issues related to various biological fields such as Molecular biology, genetics, biochemistry, microbiology, plant physiology, animal physiology, ecology and biological resources.
- Perform basic technical operations in laboratories or work units related to biology.
- Ability to communicate, present and write reports.
- Ability to team working, planning and time management.
- Demonstrate the sense of responsibility, honesty and correct understanding of professional ethics in the field of biology.
