Prof. Lee Sung Haeng, Chosun University School of Medicine, Gwangju, South Korea, is seeking for a potential candidate to join in his lab as a PhD student. His lab is working on Structural Biology field that investigating the atomic structure of protein related to their functions, targeting to drug design. Research trends including antibiotic resistance regulation in pathogens such as Burkholderia pseudomaleii, Vibrio cholerae, etc.; type IV secretion system of pathogen Helicobacter pylori; carbohydrate utilization in pathogen Streptococcus suis; etc.

 

Potential candidate should have strong motivation in X-ray crystallography and protein biochemistry, high stamina in intensively working environment, and good English skills. Active, diligent and honest are critically required. A male student with background and experience in biochemistry, biophysics, microbiology, and bioinformatics are advantageous.
