Position Title: Quality Control (QC) Analyst

1. Key areas of accountability/responsibility

- Complete timely routine analytical works (physical test, vitamin by HPLC, mineral by AAS)
in the QC laboratory for raw materials and finished products according to established test
methods, from raw materials to in-process quality control intermediate and finished
- Comply with established SOPs as written in accordance with Quality Management Systems (ISO 9001:2015), Feed Safety Management Systems (FAMI-QS) and SHE requirements to ensure the quality and feed safety of finished goods from incoming raw materials, in-process control and finished goods.
- Sign off and file in-place all required documentation, records and reports after completing all the required tests and inspections.
- Calibrate and maintain instruments and test equipment according to operating manuals and established SOPs to ensure reliability and repeatability of analytical test results.
- Test and evaluate samples of raw materials, premix samples, production trial and
investigate material or product failure as instructed by line manager.
- Work with external laboratories, local and overseas all required analytical works for QA/QC
work & other purposes.
- Develop & validate test method for vitamin & mineral for raw materials, finished goods if required to ensure the consistent & reliable test result.
- Perform enzyme activity testing as customer request

Other Responsibilities
- Back up other QC analysts as and when necessary

- Release incoming raw materials and finished products if meet the quality, legal, food/feed
safety standards
- Sign off test reports of raw materials and finished products

Projects/special assignments
- Provide laboratory technical support during trial runs, customer visits, authority
inspections etc
- Participate in internal and external audits eg suppliers, premix operation, external
laboratories, warehouses and support customer audits where necessary.
- Involve in other project as and when required

2. Knowledge and educational level
Educational level:
- Bachelor of Science in Chemistry (priority in Specialization in Analytical Chemistry), Food Science or relevant degree

- Goal driven, conceptual, motivator/coach, achiever, creates trust

Knowledge of and experience in own discipline:
- Experience in quality control and perform analysis work in the laboratory
- General knowledge of chemistry & be able to handle HPLC & AAS system
- Experience in a quality management or laboratory position for at least 2 years
- Experience with (international) Quality Management systems (ISO 9001:2015), Food/Feed safety management systems (HACCP; ISO 22000:2015/2018; FAMI-QS) and Integrated Management systems is preferred.

Knowledge of and experience in other relevant disciplines:
- Know-how of animal nutrition and production of compound feeds is preferred
- Ideally experience with SAP is preferred
- Experience in automated laboratory management systems

Managerial and social knowledge and experience:
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Must read and understand major documents in English is required
- Good English writing and communication skills is preferred

3. Required level of experiences
- Minimum 2 years of experience in industry related position or laboratory works
- Experience in operating and maintaining laboratory instruments and equipment; quality control skills
- Familiar with standard test methods for vitamins, minerals, enzymes etc
